The image is by American pop artist Charles Fazzino, known for extremely detailed, colorful cityscapes and event scenes and particularly for his hand-assembled 3-D pop art. His work frequently turns sporting events into dense, humorous visual narratives filled with recognizable people, places and tiny incidents. Fazzino has produced official artwork for numerous major sporting events, including NASCAR, the Daytona 500, Super Bowl, MLB All-Star Game, Olympics and Indy 500.
