For this original 1973 AMTRAK advertising poster, artist David Klein was enlisted to make several images designated to some regions of the country as well as a couple states specifically. One for the Northwest, Southwest (here) and one we love for “Florida” which has some apropos flamingos flanking a sunset. It’s our pleasure to design such historical pieces, plus we love the paper quality.
We paid homage to the Native American subject matter and included a Dreamcatcher as well as a Thunderbird to the empty spaces around the work, and used the tribal design and a rattlesnake at the top of the subject’s headdress to connect our train and title :) This is one of those puzzles that you will not see anywhere in the world. It’s over 3 feet tall and 25 inches wide. No hand-cut interlocking jigsaw puzzles made from one piece of wood are still made today in this size anywhere. Enjoy this one for your collection. It’s our honor to design and offer them, truly :)
