Printed in the 1970’s, this is an original advertising poster for British Airways with a tagline “Britain, Land of History”. This poster offers an impressive example of graceful “Regency Architecture” (1810-1820) which can be seen in many parts of Britain. This is an artist's impression of Brighton East Sussex during Regency days. It features a colorful design of the popular South Coast seaside resort town and depicts a military man in uniform on Brighton beach. We see ladies in fashionable dresses standing with soldiers in front of Mahomed's Baths and other buildings with decorative balconies. Look closely and you’ll see a lady riding on a horse drawn carriage and soldiers marching below a Union Jack flag with the historic Royal Pavilion built for King George IV behind the trees. For those sailors, there’s a tall ship sailing at sea with a hot air balloon flying overhead. A beautiful work, published by the British Tourist Authority and printed in England by Beric Press. The poster is in good condition.
