This is an original mid-century signed print from 1967 by artist Ira Moskowitz, a Polish-born American (1912-2001). The print has a wonderful fibrous strength and texture, and such rich coloration.
The artist studied at the Art Students League in New York from 1928-31. In 1938 he returned to New York, married artist Anna Barry, and soon with her visited Taos & Santa Fe (New Mexico) for extended periods. They moved there by ~1944 and stayed until 1949. Moskowitz worked in lithograph, etching, prints, as well as oils, watercolors, drawings. For instance, the National Gallery of Art lists many lithographs from ~1945-46. His work often has clear strong line-work (in print form), elegant but simplified forms, a sense of ritual or cultural ceremony (in the Southwest pieces) and later a more symbolic/religious tone.
