This original poster from our collection will be mounted, designed and cut into a one-of-a-kind PAR for you. Original UK vintage propaganda poster - “The more you've got the Better Your Chances of Winning” - Premium Bonds on Sale Here - Design by Alastair Graham (1906-2000). Issued by the Department for National Savings. Printed in England for HMSO by Lonsdale and Bartholemew LTD. Nottingham.
Alastair Graham is a highly respected illustrator and animation artist. A lifelong fascination and love of jazz music led him to produce a remarkable collection of drawings based on many of the great jazz musicians. He started making art in 1966 and upon the death of his wife in 2016, he then truly believes he started to make art given his perspective changing over her loss.
This work features a sheep surrounded by sheepdogs next to a proud farmer. The personalities on the dogs faces is what draws us into loving this poster so much. An upset farmer can be seen in the background reading up on the rules of sheepdog trials.
Size: 20” x 30” Printed in the 1950s. This will be approximately 700-800pcs given we may remove most of the wording and focus more on the illustration of the sheepdogs, the sheep and the annoyed neighbor :) The colors are beautiful and if you’re a dog or animal lover, Graham captures the playfulness and nature of the animals so well within their expressions.
