1939 - Saturday Evening Post Advertising Poster - Tugboat Annie Borrows Six Bits

$2,950.00

Original vintage advertising poster for the 13 May 1939 issue of The Saturday Evening Post illustrated magazine featuring a distressed lady holding onto a gentleman tugging on the reins with a steam train behind them. And as someone said: ‘When Annie acts crazy, somebody’d better start ducking!’” Yes, that unsinkable character Tugboat Annie began in The Saturday Evening Post. The colors on this original 1939 poster are irresistible. We expect the puzzle to be approximately 1000 pcs.

Artwork by Douglas H. Hilliker (1891-1986)

Size: 20” x 28”
