All Par Picture Puzzles are mad in our own workrooms under the following specifications:
PICTURES
The prints for Par Puzzles are collected the world over in an endless variety. To meet Par standards, each picture must be distinctive in color and interest, cut so the saw line scarcely show, and have a velvet finish which eliminated glare and eyestrain.
CUTTING
Par cutting is original and fascinating. The puzzles are difficult…frankly planned for the expert…not for children. Each puzzle is precision-made by a skilled craftsman. Each designed solely for that particular pictures. Exclusive silhouette pieces, of our own design and copyright, are included in the intricate cutting pattern.
WOOD
Special 5-ply wood is made to our order. It is slightly thicker than generally found in puzzles and the back ply is natural mahogany of cabinet grade. The hard wood back and added thickness prevent warping and give the pieces a unique 'feel'. They are far more pleasant to handle than the usual puzzle pieces.
FINISH
The merits of precision craftsmanship are at once4 apparent in assembled Par Puzzles. The pieces fit perfectly. There is no 'play' between them. There are no random cuts, no rough or ragged edges. The mahogany back is highly polished…a clean surface which stays clean. Each pieces is inspected.
SIZE
A Par Puzzle of 750 pieces can be conveniently assembled on a standard card table without a special table or tray.
